YAGP

Acabou de acabar em Nova York a décima-terceira edição do Youth America Grand Prix, um dos maiores concursos de ballet do mundo, que também oferece bolsas de estudo para os melhores estudantes classificados.

Lançado em 1999 por dois ex-bailarinos do Bolshoi,  Larissa e Gennadi Saveliev, o YAGP é também uma organização sem fins lucrativos criada com a missão de fornecer extraordinárias oportunidades educacionais e profissionais para jovens bailarinos, agindo como um trampolim para a carreira profissional. O concurso é realizado anualmente em todo o mundo, para alunos de todas as nacionalidades, que tenham entre  9 e 19 anos de idade.
 



Aqui no Brasil, os bailarinos conseguem vaga pelo concurso YAGP do Passo de Arte. Neste ano o YAGP concedeu mais de 2 milhões de dólares em bolsas de estudo para as principais escolas de dança em todo o mundo. Mais de 25.000 bailarinos em todo o mundo participaram de workshops internacionais, competições e aulas. Mais de 200 alunos agora estão dançando nas maiores companhias do mundo, incluindo o American Ballet Theatre, o New York City Ballet, a Opera de Paris, o San Francisco Ballet, entre outros.


Vejo o YAGP como uma olimpíada da dança, um ponto de encontro para estudantes e professores se atualizarem e verem espetáculos incríveis. Sério, o nível técnico impressiona demais. É só conferir as fotos e vídeos e começar a babar.
